What started as a two person dream is now Sun Valley Gardens Greenhouse.  After teaching biology for 17 years at St. Albert High School in Council Bluffs, Terry decided to return to his agrarian roots.  Terry and his wife Carol opened the 9,200 square foot facility with their first poinsettia crop in the winter of 1997.

The two of them, with help from family and friends, continued to rotate geranium and poinsettia crops until the crew became three with the hiring of Deb Hall in the spring of 2000.  In 2001, due to Carol's diagnosis with breast cancer, Sun Valley ceased growing poinsettias and turned our primary focus to geraniums.  Sadly, Carol lost her battle with cancer in December of 2003.

Over the years Sun Valley has continued to add staff and in December of 2010, with a staff of nine, we went back to producing the area's finest poinsettias.

Now, in the early months of 2017, we are planning our 20th geranium crop.  We have learned a lot along the way and endeavor to use that knowledge to produce our quality plants.
